CoviGo Effervescent Sanitizer Tablet
Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl) holds the highest US FDA safety classification available. GRAS (Generally Recognised As Safe) classification is only given to a product if it is safe to inhale, ingest and also apply to the skin. Having achieved this classification, Hypochlorous Acid is considered totally safe and non-toxic for human use. HOCl has been extensively researched for many years, and multiple peer-reviewed medical publications refer to its efficacy and safety when used outside of the human body
Behind the product
The Science Behind COVIGO
CoviGo is a unique, single dose effervescent tablet, which dissolves quickly and provides a consistently accurate strength solution every time, eliminating concentration errors in mixing, making the product safe and easy to use.
What’s In The Tablet?
When dissolved in water, the active ingredient in the CoviGo tablet produces free available chlorine in the form of Hypochlorous Acid, or HOCI.
What is HOCI?
HOCl is a naturally occurring chemical that is produced by our neutrophils, or white blood cells, to fight bacteria and inflammation after an infection or trauma. HOCl provides a unique power to eradicate dangerous organisms while not causing harm to our cells. HOCl is one of the only agents that is both nontoxic to the delicate cells that can heal our wounds while being lethal to almost all known dangerous bacteria and viruses that threaten our health.
Why Haven’t I Heard Of HOCI?
HOCl solutions have been used for over 100 years. in the early 1900’s during the World Wars, HOCl solutions were used for disinfecting medical equipment and dressing wounds. However, until recently, HOCl solutions would only remain stable for about 90 minutes before turning back into salt water.
Due to this characteristic HOCI has been confined to the commercial setting where industrial sized expensive equipment has produced HOCI in large quantities for immediate use.
CoviGo’s unique characteristics allow a stable form of HOCI to be produced easily when required. When added to the correct amount of water HOCI at 100ppm is produced in only 8mins. The solution will remain stable for 7-10 days when stored as directed.
What Happens After 7-10 Days?
There are no harmful toxic chemicals produced from CoviGo. Once the Sanitizer has served its purpose, it becomes harmless saline solution which can be disposed of safely down the drain
CoviGo has been tested in accordance with SANS 51276 (EN1276) and found to be effective at a concentration from 25 ppm to 100ppm, by M & L Laboratory Service (Pty) Ltd (Bereau Veritas), with a 99.999% kill.
CoviGo is currently being tested in the UK by Intertek for the Equivalent European Standard to provide further confirmation of its effectiveness.
